'People are intimidated' - the reasons 'unstoppable force' Arsenal have become the side to defeat.

There's no doubt why Arsenal have become many people's favorites to win the Premier League during this term.

Look at their results against Newcastle and Crystal Palace compared to those equivalent matches during the prior term.

The Gunners have defeated all of them during this campaign, but dropped 10 points across those games as they fell away in the title race in the prior campaign.

Impenetrable Defense

Arsenal's backline resilience is a crucial element why they are appearing strong to at last realize their title ambition.

They rank top for unbreached games (6), goals conceded (3), opposition efforts (72), quality opportunities against (19) and anticipated concessions (5.3).

The defensive partnership of Gabriel and William Saliba is arguably the best in the league, with Arsenal keeping a clean sheet in six of their first nine games.

Set-Piece Expertise

Their danger from dead balls is highly documented, but rival sides still find it difficult to stop the Gunners from these situations.

They have scored 11 times from set-pieces in the league, a couple extra than any other side, with 69% of their goals resulting from these situations.

"Arsenal can excel in various aspects now. The whole team has a daunting aura. People are just afraid of them and it is wonderful to see."

Title Claims

What is particularly notable about Arsenal's commencement to the campaign is they have also encountered Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United away from home and Manchester City at home - and are still four points clear at the top.

While they continue triumphing, their historic competitors face difficulties. This marks the initial occasion at this stage of the season since 1992 that none of Manchester City and United, Liverpool or Chelsea are in the Premier League top four.

The expectations was on head coach Mikel Arteta at the start, having allocated around £250m on eight summer additions in quest of that coveted first title since 2004.

But the business has so far paid off in style, with his side one of the most prolific attacks in the league and having the tightest defense, despite several injuries.

  • Shutouts in each of their last three Premier League games
  • Nearly 6.5 hours without letting in a goal
  • Only a handful of concessions in 12 games across various contests

Former players and pundits have described Arteta's men as a "powerhouse, looking hard to stop" with the whole club now performing with belief and purpose.
